Visit for information about all BCBSIL has to offer:

  • If you’re shopping for insurance, you can visit the Shop Plans & Prices section.
  • If you’re a member, you can sign up for or log in to Blue Access for Members (BAMSM), your online access to your account.
  • If you have individual and family coverage, you can pay your premiums online directly from the website.
  • You can learn more about health insurance, get answers to your questions about using your benefits and more.
  • Have specific questions? You can find many common questions and answers in the Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) section. This is always a good place to start.
Blue Access for MembersSM

If you don’t find your question in the FAQs, you may find the answer in your online account, Blue Access for Members (BAMSM). Log in or register to get personalized information based on your health plan and network.

Here are some things you can find in BAM:

  • Detailed information about what’s covered by your plan and what your copays, deductibles and other costs may be.
  • Your Explanation of Benefits from the last 18 months, found in the Claims
  • A list of doctors, hospitals and other health care providers that are in your health plan’s network.
  • Information about costs for many common services.

You can also get an ID card, sign up for text or email notifications, and more. Download the BCBSIL mobile app to access your BAM account on the go. Pharmacy and Prescription Drug Coverage

Need information about your prescription drug coverage? If you have Prime as your pharmacy administrator, you can log in   or register  at to get 24/7 access to details about your drug benefits. Look up what drugs are covered under your benefit plan, find out what they cost, find pharmacies in your network and more.

Check out the LifeTimes member newsletter to access a variety of helpful articles. Get information to help you improve your health and wellbeing and prevent or manage chronic conditions. You can also find information about benefits and ways to make the most of your coverage.

Customer Service

The number on the back of your member ID card is our customer service line. When online options don’t answer your question, give us a call. There is also a Contact Us page on our website with contact numbers by plan type. Find yours and call.

Communication Preferences

You have several options for updating your contact information and letting us know how you want us to communicate with you, including how you want to receive notifications and your preferred language. Whether you prefer texts, email or logging in from your computer or phone, we’ve got you covered.

Here are three ways you can update your preferences and contact information:

Not all members have Prime as their pharmacy administrator. Check Blue Access for Members or ask your benefits administrator to see if you have Prime.
Prime Therapeutics, LLC, is a separate pharmacy benefit management company contracted by Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Illinois (BCBSIL) to provide pharmacy benefit management and other related services. Employees should check their benefit booklet or call the Customer Service number on the back of their ID card for specific benefit facts. Use of Blue365 does not change monthly payments, nor do costs of the services or products count toward any maximums and/or plan deductibles. Discounts are only given through vendors that take part in this program. BCBSIL does not guarantee or make any claims or recommendations about the program’s services or products.
