I’m always looking for new ways to be healthy and have a more balanced life because I know being healthy in my daily life will help me avoid health risks in the future. In my search, I discovered the Well onTarget® Fitness Program available to me through my Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Illinois health insurance. The program gives me an affordable gym membership and discounted access to more than 10,000 fitness clubs across the country. Before I decided to enroll, I did some research. All members who bought a health insurance plan through the Health Insurance Marketplace can join the Fitness Program. If you purchase coverage through your employer, contact your benefits administrator or visit Blue Access for Members℠ to inquire about your benefits. If you need more reasons to join the program, here are a few.
It’s Inexpensive. I can go to any network gym for a one-time $25 enrollment fee and $25 a month, plus any taxes. When I compared gym prices, I found the Well onTarget Fitness Program is one of the best gym membership deals. The Fitness Program lets you get in shape while saving money. All you have to do is log in (or register, then log in) to learn more about the Fitness Program.
It’s Flexible. I’m so glad there’s no hassle of a yearly commitment and cancellation fees. The Fitness Program is a month-to-month gym membership. With so many gyms in the network, I can exercise while traveling, too!
It’s Convenient. The network of locations has some of the nation’s leading fitness clubs, regional chains and local facilities. I can fit a quick workout into my day when and where I want because there’s a network gym near my home and office. I can even use my workout time to bypass rush hour traffic.
It’s easy to join. I joined online by logging into my BCBSIL account. I clicked on “Fitness Program” link in the Quick Links section of the homepage, and followed the steps. It guided me all the way through the registration process.
The Fitness Program has lots of extra benefits including:
(CAM) network of 40,000 health and well-being specialists for over 39 specialties like acupuncturists, massage therapists and personal trainers. These complementary and alternative medicine benefits really helped me lower my stress.
To join in the Well onTarget program, the steps are simple: 1) Register or log into your BCBSIL account. 2) Under “Quick Links,” choose “Fitness Program.” On this page, you can enroll, search for nearby fitness locations and learn more about the program.
3) Click “Enroll Now.” Then search and select the fitness location that is best for you. Remember, you can visit any participating fitness location after you sign up.
