Centered is the new mobile app from Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Illinois (BCBSIL). It’s a powerful stress management tool that guides you through meditation sessions and records your steps, much like a pedometer. If you’re always on the go, this app will help remind you to set aside time for your health and wellness.

Here’s how it works:

  • Set a daily steps goal and a weekly mindful meditation goal.
  • Choose from three meditation sessions – short, mindful or body awareness.
  • Record activity automatically when you have your iPhone with you. No need to open the app!
  • The more progress you make toward meeting your goals, the closer your meditation and physical activity circles move. Eventually, the circles merge into one, or become centered, when you meet both your steps goal and your meditation goal.

The Centered App has already been named one of the 9 best apps that work with Apple’s HealthKit tool. It’s available for iPhone® 5s, iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus.
