  • Anyone tear an ACL that due to age Drs won't do surgery. Just want to fix with therapy?  how long did that last before they want to do knee replacement?  Any suggestions?

  • This past December,  I used the BCBS cost estimator tool to obtain a quote for an MRI on my knee.  I found a reasonable price though an hour drive from home at $154.  Just got the bill and the charge is $560.  Has anyone else been misled by this "estimator" -  truly misleading and certainly not helpful!

  • DLGAHEALTH2015-Our team can review your claim. All you need to do is send us a private message with your contact information and policy id #.

  • It would be helpful if you posted the answer to DLGHEALTH215's question about the estimator.  Thanks.

  • Hi ravinswift- The Cost Estimator is designed to provide consumers with an easy-to-use cost comparison for estimated price ranges for common services in your geographical area. The price ranges you're given are estimated based on the service requested and the type of provider performing the service. A claim can be filed with services that differ from the estimate provided. We recommend talking with your doctor and asking that they provide you with the specific services to be billed. This will give you a more accurate picture of what to expect once you have those services performed.  --Tonya
