I was admitted to my HMO plan hospital's ER on Friday Sept 1st, approx 6pm, paid my $200.00 co-pay and was seen. The admittance person then tells me my coverage does NOT extend to the hospital, nor to the admittance they want to do. I was admitted to the hospital from ER that night and stayed through Saturday Sept 2 until approx 3pm. Being a Holiday weekend, no one was available for me to speak to at the hospital to explain to me why the coverage was denied. I was in no shape to be calling or waiting on the phone for BCBSIL. Please advise. Thank you.
