I need a certificate of coverage

I am a retired teacher that taught at a public school for the past 4 years. I have been let go from this position so I must return back to insurance coverage thru Teacher Retirement System. I had one person tell me that I needed a "certificate of credible coverage" and another person tell me that I needed a termination letter from Blue Cross Blue Shield to send in. (My Blue Cross coverage doesn't end until 8/31/22. Could you provide those items for me?
