I have to have a follow up colonoscopy. I was told my insurance wont cover it because I had polyps' last time, so it isn't considered preventative. I would think if I had polyps, I should continue to have colonoscopies to make sure it doesn't turn into cancer. To me that is preventative.
Hello, I understand your concerns. Claims are processed based on the procedure and diagnosis codes submitted by the provider and must be processed as they are received. If you have any questions about your colonoscopy benefits, please send us a private message and I can have someone go over these with you. ~ HC
