Hello. I will be starting a job which offers BCBSIL. I will be living full time in Oregon. I was told that since I’ll be living out of state, I will not have “access” to Tier 1 providers, so any provider I see will be considered Tier 1. Is this correct?

Hello, Because we offer many different plans, we would not be able to verify this information until your plan was active and we were able to look at your coverage. We recommend verifying this through your employer as they will have information on the coverage you're being offered. ~ HC

MIBCO2000, MIBCO1201, MICOE3073 and MICOE4064 are the options. Does this Tier 1 scenario apply to any / all of these?

Yet another reason healthcare in US routinely ranks in the top 3 stressors. Ridiculous. You are basically telling me to play Russian roulette with choosing a plan, and maybe I’ll have deductible A, or deductible B that is thousands of dollars more. Enjoy your billions, Blue Cross.
