prescriptions-what pharm will you cover now?

I understand I am not able to get my prescriptions covered if I get them at CVS. I take daily medication and I need to know where I can get them, and how I go about the change. Sad because I liked CVS.

  • Hi Diane M.Doherty .

We encourage members to follow these steps to transfer existing prescriptions from CVS to the nearest standard pharmacy network:

    • Identify the nearest in-network pharmacy using BCBSXX’s pharmacy finder at  https://www.myprime.com/en/find-pharmacy.html.
    • Members should provide the prescription number on their active prescription bottle to the new pharmacy/pharmacist and request that they contact CVS to transfer their prescriptions.
    • Members have the option of transferring their prescription over the phone or in person.
    • When filling prescriptions at the new pharmacy, members should bring their insurance card to ensure seamless health coverage.
    • Members should also ask their doctor to transfer any new prescriptions or refills to their new pharmacy.
