Hi,
I have a BCBS of IL HMO that covers my wife and me. My open enrollment period ends 11/23/20. My wife is due to give birth on 12/21/20. We don’t want to have any changes in care for the last month of pregnancy nor do we want to deal with any charges arising out the childbirth that might come with the PPO.
Can I switch from the HMO to the PPO during the special enrollment period that follows childbirth?
Thanks!
Matt
Hi Matt, If you coverage is through your employer, you will want to speak to them about if you can switch plans after the birth of your child. ~ Heather
