How do I submit a claim for services received internationally?

When you receive eligible medical services from a doctor or health care facility while traveling outside the United States, you'll need to submit a medical claim to Blue Cross and Blue Shield (BCBS) Global Core for review.

Here's how you can get started:

  1. Visit: www.bcbsglobalcore.com  .
  2. Read and accept the terms
  3. Enter the two or three letters (called an alpha prefix) at the head of your member ID card
  4. Click "Go"
  5. On the next screen, choose "Claims Forms"
  6. Click the link to download the “International Claim Form”
  7. Check page 2 for Instructions about submitting your claim

You can email your completed claim form and any attachments to claims@bcbsglobalcore.com.

You can also send itemized bills and receipts – along with your completed International Claim form – to this address:

Service Center
P.O. Box 2048

Please include as many of the following items as possible:

  • The letterhead indicating the name and address of the person or organization providing the services
  • The full name of the patient receiving the services
  • The dates of each service
  • A description of each service
