When you receive eligible medical services from a doctor or health care facility while traveling outside the United States, you'll need to submit a medical claim to Blue Cross and Blue Shield (BCBS) Global Core for review.
Here's how you can get started:
- Visit: www.bcbsglobalcore.com .
- Read and accept the terms
- Enter the two or three letters (called an alpha prefix) at the head of your member ID card
- Click "Go"
- On the next screen, choose "Claims Forms"
- Click the link to download the “International Claim Form”
- Check page 2 for Instructions about submitting your claim
You can email your completed claim form and any attachments to claims@bcbsglobalcore.com.
You can also send itemized bills and receipts – along with your completed International Claim form – to this address:

Please include as many of the following items as possible:
- The letterhead indicating the name and address of the person or organization providing the services
- The full name of the patient receiving the services
- The dates of each service
- A description of each service
- The charges for each service
